Cheryl A. Bachelder is a passionate restaurant industry executive and the Former CEO of Popeyes® Louisiana Kitchen, Inc. Cheryl is known for her crisp strategic thinking, a franchisee-focused approach, and superior financial performance. Guided by the servant leadership thinking of Robert Greenleaf, she believes highly caring, collaborative leaders with big ambitions for the enterprise, not themselves, generate the conditions for people to perform their best work.

Cheryl was the CEO of Popeyes, Louisiana Kitchen, Inc. from November, 2007 to March, 2017, after serving as an active member of the board of directors for one year. Her career encompasses more than 35 years of experience in brand building, leadership development, operations and public-company management at companies like Yum Brands, Domino’s Pizza, RJR Nabisco, The Gillette Company and The Procter & Gamble Company.

She is a director of Pier 1 Imports, Inc. (PIR) and serves as compensation committee chair. She sits on the advisory board of Procter & Gamble’s franchising venture, Tide Dry Cleaners. She serves on the board of CEO Forum.

Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. She is married thirty-six years to Chris Bachelder and they have three grown daughters and two adorable grandsons.
