NAMA Announces 2018 Washington, DC Fly-In July 24-25

CHICAGO – February 28, 2018 – NAMA is excited to announce the fourth annual industry-wide Washington, DC advocacy event, NAMA Takes the Hill 2018, to take place July 24-25.

The NAMA Fly-In invites ALL industry members to attend and make your voice heard on Capitol Hill through meetings with your senators and representatives. Participants will be directly educating their Members of Congress on the industry and its economic impact as well as seeking their support for legislation that not only protects the industry, but helps it succeed.

The 2018 Fly-In is designed to connect industry members with their legislators and stress the impact of convenience services in each congressional district, as well as discuss timely issues impacting the industry. The goal is to make our industry's presence known on Capitol Hill, educate lawmakers through industry leaders' first-hand stories, and to provide networking opportunities throughout the event.

Building on prior year successes, this year will feature new and expanded networking opportunities, structured grassroots education, and new industry data to share with elected officials that will serve to protect the industry's bottom line. With a new President and a Congressional election a few months after the event, this is a critical time to be in DC making our voice heard, and we anticipate increased participation.

This is a must-attend event for anyone interested in promoting and protecting the industry and their business. There is no registration or participation fee for NAMA members for this event. The only out of pocket costs to attend is hotel and travel. Everyone is invited and no previous experience with advocacy efforts is needed. The latest in education and training will be provided to ensure that everyone is comfortable before meeting with their legislators.

Today, NAMA is launching the registration site and participants are encouraged to secure their spot by visiting: namaflyin.org.

For more information on attending or sponsoring, please contact Jason Eberstein ([email protected]) or Marilyn Dent ([email protected]).
